11th June 2018Skyfall Energy are delighted to announce that we have contracted with Aggreko to develop distributed energy project opportunities, and to provide support in respect of sustainable, clean technology solutions. The primary focus of the work will be “behind the meter” heat and power generation for Commercial and Industrial customers.
Skyfall Energy undertake the delivery of large-scale clean energy projects. Our highly experienced in-house team has many years' experience in the delivery and management of clean energy assets, covering distributed generation, liquid biofuels, energy from waste, solar and ground mounted PV, and ancillary services to grid.
The Skyfall Energy team has a comprehensive understanding of the problems and possible solutions to the issues of larger scale energy requirements and potential for waste management. We look at options, explore solutions, and make recommendations to maximise the opportunities for your business.
We work with a variety of technology providers across the energy and waste management industries. We encourage our clients to utilise proven technology. Some systems are more pioneering than others: there is a constant flow of information coming back from systems being trialled around the globe.
Clean energy and new technologies have complex funding requirements. Researching and providing funding options runs in parallel with the technological solutions, to provide the best fit for your funding strategies and your organisational needs.
The key to successful delivery is a combination of smart management, good networking and a thorough understanding of the clients’ needs. With many years’ experience in the delivery and management of clean energy assets, Skyfall Energy undertake the delivery of projects using trusted partners with whom we’ve delivered projects successfully in the past.
Power supply globally is in a state of flux as the production of electricity transitions from hydrocarbon-derived fuels and centralised generation to distributed generation, fuelled by renewable sources of energy. The transition from the old centralised generation model to the new era of distributed generation is extremely disruptive in the energy infrastructure space. It is expected that costs to commercial and industrial users of “delivered” power will rise by between 26%-44% (NAO) over the period 2017-2021. There is a huge opportunity in the UK and overseas to fill the void by supplying renewable electricity, heating and cooling "behind the meter" to Commercial/Industrial customers.
Principle Designers and Engineers on the delivery of over 100MW of installed and commissioned liquid biofuel generation plants over 12 sites in the UK, providing green electricity and heat for the Simec/Liberty Steel group's manufacturing facilities. The project was commissioned, developed and completed in 5 months.
Skyfall Energy has its own portfolio of energy from waste plants, such as Willesden, in London, where pre-prepared municipal waste will be converted into electricity and heat that will be used to supply commercial and community projects in the vicinity. The Willesden facility will also remove the need for hundreds of lorry movements every day from London’s congested roads, shifting the transfer of waste onto the railway network.
Giles Frampton had operational responsibility for the development of the UK’s two largest PV parks at Shotwick and Bradenstoke. He worked with the Government to develop the Bradenstoke PV park (70MW) where the installation of 260,000 modules was completed in 7 weeks. Grid Manager Diana Attenborough was key in developing and project managing the plant's 11 mile long grid connection at 132Kv. Skyfall Energy has extensive knowledge and capability in the development and installation of PV projects.
Skyfall Energy has developed and project managed a number of significant rooftop schemes. We have also advised the UK Government Crown Commercial Services Department on the roll-out of canopy-based projects across car parks in the National Health Service estate.
Cappagh - one of Southern England's premier companies, providing service delivery in utility operations, civil engineering schemes, land remediation projects and aggregate recycling. Skyfall Energy are working with Cappagh, exploring ways of reducing road transport movements and reducing the business' dependency on heavily-polluting diesel fuel.
Our highly experienced Grid team provide assistance with Grid Support projects and FFR / STOR solutions via ancillary services to Grid, including battery storage solutions.
Giles was a founding Director of British Solar Renewables Ltd, which delivered over half a gigawat of renewable energy during his time there, including projects on the Government estates. He is well known in the industry, and highly respected for his forthright and visionary approach to problem solving
After 35 years in business, Hannah has organised, managed, developed, opened and closed a variety of organisations across many business sectors, from the arts to sustainable construction, including projects for the public sector. For the past five years, she has been a consultant to the renewable energy industry.
Ray is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked for both PriceWaterhouseCooper (Cape Town) and Deloitte (London and Bristol). During her time at PWC and Deloitte Ray worked in Audit and Advisory, specialising in Banking and Insurance. She holds a Masters in Finance and specialises in financial modelling and investment valuations. Ray is responsible for the corporate finance within Skyfall Energy.

He also has a great depth of knowledge in the conception, planning, engineering, procurement and construction phases of large scale renewable energy projects.
Better known for his skills on the rugby field, Don also has a background in Psychology and Human Resources. He combines his team building and management skills with a keen interest in renewable energy, having seen the benefits of local generation and distribution at first hand in his native Zimbabwe and South Africa. He has taken on a part-time Business Development role within the Skyfall Energy family.
Diana has a background in Facility Management, Project Management and Renewable Energy. She was a founding member of Renewable Energy Connections Ltd (ICP). As Director of Connections she led a team of high voltage electrical engineers who successfully designed, constructed and commissioned over 500MW of electrical installations to provide energy across 11kV to 132kV networks. Diana works closely with Distribution Network Operators and The National Grid to facilitate connections to the Grid.
Rory has experience in the design of renewable energy projects from the initial stages of a project and feasibility studies, through the planning stages to detailed design work. Has overseen the development and construction of large scale ground mounted solar, as both lead designer and on site engineer.
